Nauvari Drape: Also known as Lugade or Kashta drape, this style involves draping the saree in a dhoti-like manner, with a single nine-yard saree wrapped around the waist and pleated at the front, hence deriving the name ‘nauvari’. They are traditionally worn without a petticoat and hence are called ‘Akanda Vastra’, meaning they don’t need another piece of clothing to support them.
