Kerala — Mundum Neriyathum Drape

Mundum Neriyathum: A traditional two-piece saree worn by women in Kerala, consisting of a mundu (lower garment) and neriyathu (upper garment), draped elegantly with pleats and folds. The mundu is draped around the waist and resembles a saree, and the neriyathum is worn over a blouse diagonally from the right hips to the left shoulder, resembling the modern saree pallu.

Mohiniattam drape: Start by tying the sari securely with a double knot at your right waist, keeping the shorter end in front. Next, make around 12 pleats with the remaining fabric and hold them at your left waist. Now, cleverly tuck the long end (pallu) under the pleats once, going counter-clockwise, and secure it with another double knot at your left waist. Finally, gather the top part of the pallu, bring it around your body counter-clockwise until the border reaches your knee, and drape the remaining length over your left shoulder.
