Kodava Drape/ Coorg drape: This drape style is unique to the Kodava community. It is also called the authentic Coorgi style draping, and is often accompanied by a matching headscarf. The pleats of the saree are tucked at the back and the pallu of the saree is draped under the left shoulder and secured over the right shoulder, called molakattu. The brides of Karnataka love their kanjeevaram sarees in Coorgi style drape.
Halakki Vokkaliga: Halakki Vokkaliga, found in the Western Ghats of Karnataka, features a distinctive saree draping style worn by women. The saree involves numerous pleats, which are primarily gathered and tucked at the waist. It is then draped over the upper body, brought under the shoulder to the back, and secured with a knot on the right shoulder, utilizing the pallu at the front and the end of the saree at the back.
